We all have problems from time to time, some minor, some more serious. Usually we either ride these out ourselves or cope with the support of family and friends. On other occasions we may find it useful to consult a professional for help and guidance in dealing with issues that seem out of control or threaten to overwhelm us.
I am a highly qualified and experienced Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and BACP accredited counsellor. I have over ten years experience of counselling and psychotherapy. I have worked extensively in private practice and also as a Senior Clinician for a Psychology service providing CBT for GP referrals, a Case Manager and Associate Counsellor for a major UK Employee Assistance Programme provider, as Manager of a Further Education Counselling Service, and in a variety of not-for-profit agencies.
The issues I commonly work with include depression and anxiety, panic attacks and phobias, grief, relationship issues, stress management, workplace problems, interpersonal difficulties and social anxiety, issues of sexuality or gender, cultural issues, and personal development.
I work with individuals aged 16 and over and couples. If you would like to have a family member attend therapy for support I am very happy for them to do so.
Please contact me if you’d like to discuss the possibility of making an appointment and for details of my fees and availability. I look forward to hearing from you.
